Roadshow is the company I ran for eight years. It’s now under
new management but with all the original crew, it continues to
be one of the most dynamic and cost-effective Conference
Production Companies in the country.
Bright Flyer; my 1979 Trapper 500 is for sale. She is a great
example of this popular cruising yacht and whilst I’ll be very
sad to see her sold, the proceeds will contribute to the new
w2n yacht and the success of the project.
Luke Rhinehart has written many books and I’ve read them all
including his latest ‘Naked Before the World’. Without question
though, for me, the most outstanding was ‘The Dice Man’.
The infectious ‘Dice Life’ spirit of the book has not only
influenced the w2n project but has infiltrated my life and that
of others around me. It’s absurd, ridiculous and provocative
but thought-provoking in equal measure.

Canasta will be moored at Wicormarine, a family owned and run
yard in Fareham , until my departure later this year. It’s just
half an hour’s sail to the harbour entrance in Portsmouth and
since moving her there in April, I have found Wicormarine to be
a friendly and helpful yard set in a peaceful location just a short
drive from my home in Liphook.
It's 11 years since Shaun and Russell Harris first set out on
their random journey guided only by the whim of a tumbling
green dice with no means of transport, just a small amount of
money and a bag of essentials. They spent three years on a
voyage of discovery like no other – travelling over 18,000 miles,
though countries such as Poland , Iceland , Holland , Germany ,
Denmark , England , Hawaii , Ireland , Greenland and the USA .
The show proved to be a huge success, has been seen in
countries all over the world and has influenced the lives in no
small way of many thousands of people by showing how
unpredictability can change the way they approach the world.
A keen sailor himself, Russell is following the W2N project
with interest.
